Do It Yourself - emag

Hallo Ihr Lieben,
heute geht zum ersten mal das magazin von "Do it Yourself Frollein" online.

Hi there,
today I want to share the first emag of Do It Yourself Frollein with you.
This is a online magazine full of do it yourself projects. Take time and have a look, it worth!
I'm so excited to be a part of it. I had a lot of fun.
This is in german, but it's always with a lot of photos with the work in progress so you can understand almost everything.

Here it goes to the magazine

Painting - video and work in progress

Hi there,

I want to show you a canvas I made.

I'm not so satisfied with the butterfly, it's to rigid with no move and life. Maybe I will go over it sometimes.
But at this time I thought it would be interesting to show you my work in progress with some photos.

I started with a blank canvas and made a background of black, blues, beige and white. I added different layers of paint. Then I added a silhouette of a woman.
It needed more texture so I added papers and I added also tissue paper for the clothing of the girl. And then again paint of course ;-)
The background reminded me of skylines of a city, so I decieded to add a window scene.

And then I added this butterfly and changed something in the background.

Stay tuned, I think it's not the end of it. ;-)

Have a great day with the Paint Party Friday

Layout with 7 Dots paper collection

Just another layout from our last days in Switzerland. The photo is made at the school playground and is a memory of the place where the girls liked to play.
I had no idea for a title. Maybe I shoul add the word "Remember" because it feels a little bit naked to look at this. ;-)

I used a paper collection "All I ever" from 7Dots Studio.

Thanks for visiting, have a nice and creative day!

File Folder - Wishes

Hi there!

I want to show you a file folder I made for Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L®

Did you see the file folders from Roben-Marie Smith? I love her work and felt inspired. I created a folder for wishes.

I didn't had blank folders so I decided to take a paper in A4 size as base, to fold it and then to use a sewing machine to close the paper on the sides.
For the background I used book pages and a piece of watercolor paper and adhered them with the E-Z Dots® Permanent - Refillable. I painted and splashed a bit and decorated a line with washi tape and Ribbon.

The swan is a drawing I did.
I adhered the swan with 3D Foam Squares to create a little 3D effect.
To adhere all paper stripes for the titles and embellishments together I used the E-Z Dots® Permanent - Refillable

It was a messy project and I loved the process. Thank you Roben-Marie for your inspiration and the fun!

4 - Add a branch with a stencil and Modelling paste.
5 - Add some blue watercolor and splash a bit with red color.
6 - Use a heart from the 3D Foam Hearts and decorate it with glitter foil. Put it on your tag.

New mixed media monthly challenge blog

Hi there,

some days ago I discovered a new mixed media challenge blog. It's called "The mixed media monthly challenge" and the theme for July is "around the house".

Yeah what fun is it?!

For my Art Journal page I used cling film on my background together with watercolor paint and I used a knife to set/stamp the text lines for my journaling.
Yes and I had a lot of fun with it!

We can't be afraid of change. I found some thought in the www about "change" and it fits perfectly with my new situation and our move.

There is also a great giveaway package. Check it out!

Thanks for visiting today!
